Here are the stations of our 15 day — Camping — Trip through Southern Queensland starting on 26th Dec 2019 from our home at the Gold Coast into the New Year 2020. Originally we had planned to head south towards the Blue Mountain area, however because of the fire situation and the bad news we changed our plans and went north instead. We only booked one campsite at the end from 6th Jan on, a place we know and have visited before. For our orientation we used WikiCamps Australia App — which we highly recommend because of the valid information and the reviews other campers have left for us.

Our Caravan and Nissan Navara 4x4

The total trip was 2200 km and we had 15 full days to come home to the Gold Coast. Here are the stations, places we visited and where we spent the nights. For your information I will add some stopovers and some photos as well. We tried not to drive more than 200 km on a travelling day and wished to stay at least 2 nights, if possible 3 or more nights according to what we would do and see ….

Our first stop were the Showgrounds — no booking though Christmas, and we really liked the place, cash collected in the late afternoon. We stayed for 2 nights / 25 AUD p.n.
