The discussion of wearing a face mask because of the pandemic is very strange: It depends on the situation and the context and the place, I would think! There is no simple YES or NO … I would suggest!

Telling people it may not be necessary when in contact with other people is deceiving and misleading and a big and unforgivable mistake of health experts and politicians!

They are mostly hiding the simple fact that there are not enough masks available for everybody! So ordering or recommending to wear a mask when outside would immediately push the price of face masks through the roof — they will have to be imported mostly from China — and people would notice that no precautions have been made!

So my advice: Produce a face mask yourself or get one from your chemist if possible and before they are sold out!

I am not wearing a mask in my house, of course, but when outside or in a supermarket, I am wearing a mask because even by speech the virus may be transmitted. Scientists have found out: By coughing and sneezing and even speaking / spitting the radius for transmission may be up to 8 meters.
