Believe me, having worked mostly from home as a teacher of English and German I can sum up: Exploitation at its best … hours worked were not relevant nor even counted, just the number of papers marked per week and job done! In the ministries of Education only the average amount of hours worked per month / year of all teachers employed were relevant! So extremely calculated: The one who worked 30 hours a week made up with the one who had to work 50 hours / which equals 40 hours per week for both of them. This was due to the subjects you had studied and chosen and teaching languages meant marking all the time, 100 test papers in three classes at the same time and exams all the time …

So believe me: Home office means endless work all the time including weekends and vacations.
